What was the first concert you ever saw?

Duran Duran at the Hartford Civic Center in 1984, the Seven and the Ragged Tiger tour. It was my first time witnessing the use of cocaine as well. When I asked my mom what the people behind us were putting in their noses, she told me they were taking medicine.

What CDs are in your changer right now?

The Dale Warland Singers, Cathedral Classics; American Primitive Vol. 2 (various artists); The Staple Singers, Greatest Hits; Grand Champeen, Dial T for This; Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 23 (various artists).

How many total albums do you own (CDs, vinyl, cassettes, 8-tracks)?

500ish CDs, 200ish LPs.

Do you download music, and if so, legally or illegally?

Occasionally, legally.

What was the first album you owned?

Aerosmith, Toys in the Attic. I bought it with my own saved allowance for $5.99 at Record Express in Middleton, Conn., in 1980. I still have the LP!

What song would you like to have played at your funeral?

"If Music Be the Food of Love," sung in round by my wife and daughter.

Musically speaking, what do you love that your friends don't know about? What's your favorite guilty pleasure?

The Cheetah Girls.

What band or artist changed your life, and how?

The Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus. I met my wife at a TABC concert.

Figurative gun to your head, what is your favorite album of all time?

The Band, Music From Big Pink.
