    Re: “No Thanks, Trump
Wondering if these people who are so anti-immigrant are willing to go out into the fields and harvest
the many crops that these hard working labors do? Or wash dishes, mop floors?? These [so called]
illegal immigrants are essential to our economy. the only reason they are
[illegal] is because our federal government has become deadlocked and unable to improve our immigration policies.

Very concerned and saddened by McSally's negative vote on this. She had a good idea to increase funding to other clinics, but when that failed to fly she showed her allegiance to toeing the party line. She surely doesn't care about the people of her district by defunding this vital health care service.

Smithappens....yes, it does. and big smit is rape and incest. Not "life threatening" but in need of a subsidized abortion option. Also, an abortion is usually not surgery. I find it pretty naive to believe that a pregnancy can always be prevented. The best way to assure that would be for males to become electively sterile. Any volunteers?

Yes, the roads in Tucson are really bad. Sure hope this $$ is used to fix them. Until recently I've lived in Portland, OR. That city has good roads and an extensive light rail network. Getting around without a car has been facilitated with trains since the 1970's when the light rail was begun. Get over the wild west cowboy mind set that keeps Old Pueblo's denizens in love with those polluting autos!

Hey, Kate, Please be careful of making generalizations and sweeping accusations of "old white people." I have moved to Tucson and am white and proud of 76 years of progressive activism. As a retired Head Start teacher and Returned Peace Corps volunteer, will always support education with my $$ and my heart. May Ron Barber win.

Doesn't AZ still claim the Grand Canyon or has it been sold to uranium mining?

Thanks, Tracy for the clear information on the process of vote by mail. I've been voting in Oregon most of my life. We have mail in voting and have for many years. There has never been any accusations of fraud. Voter turn out is higher. We are given a secrecy envelope free of identification. We don't need a stamp as there are drop boxes all over. Change is hard. But come on Old Pueblo, you can change!
