National Latino AIDS Awareness Day
An event featuring educational classes for adults and teens, an informational resource fair, HIV testing and counseling, presentations by community leaders and entertainment takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15. The goal of the event is to encourage Latino families to speak openly about sexuality, substance abuse and the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. Free. Call for more information.
