Movement and Loving Your Body

Talk about getting ready to be more authentic, Tucson artists Gina Cestaro and Laura Milkins are ready to help us make that happen through their Spiral Journal School of Movement. Founded last year, the local performance artists will teach My Body, My Self, an authentic movement class to help us practice love and compassion for our bodies and maybe be a little nicer to ourselves. The classes are Saturday, Jan. 10 and Sunday, Jan. 11, 2 to 7 p.m. at Barefoot Studios, 7352 N. Oracle Road. Body acceptance is one of those concepts we embrace and wrestle with Weekly World Central, just like the rest of you, but what makes this workshop series interesting is that it's taught by two of Tucson's most loved performance artists who've brought these concepts to us in their prior work.
