Cruising the internet since Al Gore and I invented it and it still had a black screen with orange pixels. Remember when we used to have to patch into the universities to get online and they actually attempted to publish an internet yellow pages so we could see ALL the websites there were. Damn why didn't I keep mine?

Re: “Danehy

Wow, Mr V, I'm surprised you didn't correct Mr Danehy and tell him that his favorite athlete's name is actually Cassius Clay. Mr Soetero? Really? Dude wants to go by his actual father's name and not his stepfather's name and you have a problem with that? So much for the intelligent and christian elements you claim. I'll assume the armed part. "A-theistic socialist"? Ya, you're not "nearly stupid". You passed that train depot a mile back.

Re: “The Skinny

@ay te wacho, that seems to me to be a fact which demonstrates the finer qualities of being a Democrat. No "group think". While sharing certain philosophies that were once universal (do no harm, do unto others..., be a good neighbor - like state farm lol), in no way does a progressive allow their every thought to be dictated by chain letters, voicemails, or social message feeds as most definitely is the way of the crazy Tea Party loons (redundant but so fun to poke their little brains with the insults). I also used to be an independent, which I found to be less offensive to my melting pot of friends - no choosing sides - but these days, I aim to take sides. Them'ums is cheats, scoundrels, and liars; and I don't want any confusion about which side of the political border that I'm on. Will being a registered Democrat keep me from voting for a common sense Repub? Find me one and let's see.

Re: “Tea Party Pooper

Nutso fever strikes the conservatives again. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Tea Partiers could benefit from examination for head trauma and/or mental disease. 1+1 does not equal follow the crazy guy in the fur underpants.

Re: “The Skinny

Normally I am against eminent domain being used to take property for the benefit of anyone other than highway or road development, but in this case, I say damn the torpedoes. Full Steam Ahead!

Re: “'Citizen' + Word Press = WTF?

Hey WeeklyGash, I have six blogs running on wordpress, all of them using the freeware without tweaking the defaults too much and ALL of them look better than the Citizen's attempt.

And most of them were put up in about a half hour. And they didn't have to take down the old site (which by the way, isn't actually down, just ignored and abandoned because the Citizen obviously doesn't want to pay TNI to maintain it with IT guys or webdesigners who know what they're doing).

Blogs are not rocket science. I have a 70 year old client who now maintains his own site and he hasn't screwed it up as much as TC.

Biggest problem TC has is the quality of bloggers contributing. Not an interesting or literate one in the bunch. Mostly seem to be friends of the editors or former commenters who happen to have hobby blogs or active Myspace accounts (TC hoping to drive their readers to the "new" site? Callous considering the drenching the noobies are taking from the readers of TC).
