Re: “Assessing the Assessor

My dealings with the assessor's office left a lot to be desired. I had to send a copy of my third letter to him with a cc: to my Supervisor. That got some action.

Re: “Pima County Education, Business Leaders Join Forces to Defend JTEDs Funding & Fight Against Further Cuts to Schools, Universities

You get what you vote for. Never believe a very conservative Arizona politician when he say he is all for education. He means education only for those who can afford to pay for it. Disclaimer: I am not a "liberal."

Re: “Obama's Immigration Action: Explanation & Reaction

Undocumented aliens (they are not immigrants) are not legally entitled to any government benefits. If they have obtained these, it was illegal, and a felony. If this is the case they do not come under the Obama plan and are subject to deportation. If they are allowed to apply for citizenship (that is up to Congress, not Obama) they must, by law, pay the required fees. The immigration system in this country is not paid through YOUR taxes, it is self sustaining and supported by the fees it charges.
It is amazing to me how many U.S. citizens no so little about the workings of our government.
