Don’t Meet the Spartans. Please. Epic Movie and Date Movie creators Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer spew a mess of shameless pop-culture references and product placements in vulgar excess, taking on targets ranging from Lindsay Lohan to American Idol to Gatorade. Meanwhile, a purposefully ridiculous shields-and-sandals spoof of 300 dominates the plot, resulting in a barrage of unfunny jokes that fall flat.
