Re: “The Hut

I'm rarely out for night life, but if I'm shopping on 4th Ave. The Hut is the perfect place to rest my tootsies while I sip a Moose Drool, then beat my husband at pool! Just kidding, Baby...

Re: “Ballot-Box Basics

I'm thinking that it might be a more effective story telling technique, suan, if you understood the basics of the English language. That way your riveting comment about a cameramen named Colin and his sidekick, Judy, would not sound like unintelligent gibberish.

Oh, and RogerRabbit, as usual you hit the nail on the head. You are my hero!

Re: “Forbidden Fiction

I was raised Catholic, and I remember every month the church newsletter would have a list of newly banned books and movies which the Catholic Church deemed inappropriate or just plain morally wrong. However, my father hated censorship, and would read every banned book just to see what the church was trying to keep from us! This pretty much guaranteed that even "Lady Chatterly's Lover" had a place on our bookshelves!

After reading the article I have only one thing to say. "Hey Trace, better whip it out, big boy!" Right on, rqarn!

Re: “Danehy

I love you guys! (freedom & roger) I used to think my husband and I were the only ones who saw the blatant hypocracy. Everything I've heard Republicans accuse Obama of scheming or doing is something GWB has already done, all the while Republicans stood by beaming like new parents when their baby farts. We watched in horror as Cheney's evil genius manipulated the Puppet King. I shuddered every time Bush uttered the phrase "the American people", knowing he didn't speak for me... or anyone I knew! And Sarah Palin and her Dutch Uncle John! When I saw Republican women sing her praises, not because she was a qualified candidate, (and clearly she is NOT) but because she was a woman...I was embarrassed to be a woman! The idea that a blow up doll in a designer suit could one day run our country absolutely terrifies me! Thanks for articulating what seemed so obvious.

Re: “His Name Is Max Thunder

Whew! What a beautifully complex, painfully tragic, wonderfully uplifting and satisfying story in the tradition of "Truth is stranger than fiction." And may I add, better than any novel I ever read! My heart is filled with admiration and love for these amazing, quirky, honest and funny people. May Carlee recover quickly, and Christopher recognize that he IS a father, and Max always bless the day he joined your family!
I'm still crying!
