It is with great interest that I read in this week's issue (February 18, 2016) the "Politics of Politics" about Ray Carroll's future departure from the Pima County Board of Supervisors. It was very positive that we had him on the board, as he exercised good judgment on many issues. I applaud the position, which he took to oppose the Rosemont Mine. This is a mine, which would destroy an environmentally sensitive area and threaten Tucson's water supply. I also greatly respect the position, which he took to oppose having access to the pornographic garbage in our public library system. He will be missed.
I wish Ray Carrol all the best in his future endeavors!
