#OurBorderMatters

The Border Patrol has stated they cannot afford body cameras, yet they can spend $600,000 each to build $80,000 houses in Ajo, more than $100,000 per foot to repair the fence in Nogales, more than a million for a canopy over I-19, a billion dollars for a virtual fence that was a failure from day one, and an extremely conservative estimate of more than $250 million per year for agents to do absolutely nothing at next to useless checkpoints miles from the border.  Yet, all Sens. McCain, Flake, and the rest of Congress can do is throw more and more unrestrained money at them.

Sadly, over the past 15-20 years the BP has become grossly mismanaged, inefficient, and out of control.  I say that as an old white guy's personal experiences and observations.  I can't imagine what occurs with people who are less white than I. The BP won't wear cameras because they can't afford them, they won't wear cameras because they won›t be able to lie  and deny. They will have to be accountable for their actions.
