Latin@ Gay Pride Festival 

When: Sept. 16-21 2011
A wide variety of events celebrate Latin@ Gay Pride from Friday, Sept. 16, through Wednesday, Sept. 21. All events are free unless otherwise noted. The Miss Tucson Latin@ Gay Pride 2011 Pageant takes place from 9 to 11 p.m., and a ¡Gritalo! dance party follows on Friday, Sept. 16, at Aint Nobody's Bizness, 2900 E. Broadway Blvd. $10. The Albert Soto Art and Cultural Showcase takes place from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at Dinnerware Artspace, 119 E. Toole Ave. Tardeada, a family picnic, takes place from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 18, at La Madera Park, 2700 E. La Madera Drive. Odyssey Storytelling presents Cuentos from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19. El Movimiento symposium takes place from 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Tucson YWCA, 525 N. Bonita Ave. On Wednesday, Sept. 21, Estamos Aqui, an outreach event, takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at PCC West Campus, 2202 W. Anklam Road; and a screening of Papers takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gallagher Theater in the UA Memorial Student Union, 1303 E, University Blvd. Call Wingspan at 624-1779 for more information.
