Comedy drama
10-year-old Kit Kittredge (Abigail Breslin), wannabe reporter and friend to hobos, confronts the evil of anti-hobo forces, both within and without the law, when hobo-hating police officers and hobo-exploiting thieves conspire against the friendly and good-natured hobos of Cincinnati, circa 1930. While fair and balanced in its portrayal of librarians, magicians and dance instructors, Kit Kittredge may be the most shockingly pro-hobo movie ever made. As such, I would strongly recommend this film to all children and hobos. Adults who do not have bindle-sticks or knowledge of empty freight cars might find the film mildly soporific, but such are the sacrifices we make for our children and our hobos.
