Celebrate the day America truly became the land of the free at Tucson's 46th annual Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 18. Check out the Donna R. Liggins Recreation Center, 2160 N. Sixth Ave., from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for food, entertainment and historical presentations. A significant event in U.S. history, June 19, 1865 is the day that the last of the enslaved Americans were given freedom.
