This is a fun and whimsical sing-along jamboree filled with catchy musical numbers, important moral lessons and exciting adventures as the animated characters offer a contemporary retelling of Jonah’s travels through Israel as God’s messenger. However, there is just one catch: The characters are vegetables! In the first-ever feature film by the popular straight-to-video Christian series, co-writers and directors Mike Nawrocki and Phil Vischer depict walking and talking multi-cultural produce donning stylish garb and encountering wild escapades. Either this will touch even the most stubborn of carnivores, or pint-sized viewers will find it creepy that the food group that they detest can drive cars, play Ping-Pong and even use a type of Jedi power that allows objects to levitate as if they were being held by the limbless produce.
