Re: “Get Out of Town!

Dear Mr. Boegle,

Do you know what a contrail is? Apparently not. It is frozen water vapor (hence, the term "vapor trail") It takes a rather precise combination of temperature (below freezing) and humidity (near saturation) in order for a vapor trail to condense. The reason a true vapor trail maintains a consistent length behind an aircraft is that the sun (you know, the big yellow ball in the sky) rapidly melts the ice causing the trail to disappear.

I was fascinated by the appearance of contrails as a youth. Never, I repeat never, did I see a vapor trail stretching across the width of the horizon and linger for hours thereafter. This is, in fact, a physical impossibility. Your position, if I can make an inference, is that throughout the summer months in Tucson, when ground temperatures were in excess of 100 degrees for weeks on end (as did occur this past summer) and precipitation was nonexistent, these "ice trails" (a more appropriate description of a contrail) lingered throughout the day turning crystal clear blue skies into hazy overcast skies. Furthermore, as these trails began to descend in the late afternoon (due to a phenomenon called atmospheric inversion-look it up), the ice crystals never melted. Sure.

Of course, given your inane comments regarding Building 7 (see the towering inferno in Madrid 2/12/05), it is likely that you have no desire or intention to think logically and analytically and are simply another disinformation tool of the PTB (powers that be). Good luck with that. I'm sure you're well fucking rewarded for your efforts.

Doubting that this will appear in your comments section,

John Galt
