Joan Sandin uses illustrations and rhymes to tell the story of how Arizona became a state on Feb. 14, 1912, in her book Celebrate Arizona! She discusses and signs the book at noon and 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8; free. Reservations are required, but must be made no earlier than one week in advance; call between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; or from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday.
