    Re: “Red Tide
Close-minded people will always invite ppl with a different opinion to leave. It is ironic b/c they pretend to be flag-waving patriots yet flip out if anyone disagrees with their point of view. The entire American Revolution was based on the right to dissent. Americans should learn their history.

    Re: “Not-So-Safe Seat
It is incredible to me that voters wd turn their wrath on a man who spoke with indignation and conviction over an immoral and unjust law, rather than aim at the individuals responsible for the hideous mentality of scape-goating and bigotry. Wake up, Arizona, or you will get what you deserve: a deteriorating state economy, replete with all the accompanying negatives such as the worst education system in the US, most jobs lost, and becoming a third-world state.
Get Arizona back in the right direction and demand quality from all the political leaders instead of foaming at the mouth and denigrating an individual for standing up for what he believes in. You know where his heart was. Give Raul a break.

    Re: “The Amazing Race
Rotellini lacks credibility and the last thing we need in Az is another politician who brazenly makes false statements for her own gain. Can you imagine what a continuing disaster Az would be if she were the AG? Vince Rabago is the real thing: a fair-minded, level-headed experienced prosecutor who will fit Az's needs now.
For Rotellini to make unfound accusations against another candidate, and for political gain clearly shows she would make a disastrous choice for Arizonans.

It seems to me that a reporter in earnest could use his computer if not the telephone to "track down" a candidate (Macario Saldate) and "learn more." Your lack of initiative to learn about the very candidates you are reporting on is distressing.
Dr. Saldate is an esteemed UA professor, now retired, who enjoyed considerable success as a work horse, via his advanced degrees and his experience as an administrator at the UA. A former welder and member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, his work ethic guides him to roll up his sleeves and get things done for quality education, better jobs and health care, and to work for a cleaner environment. He is much beloved by his supporters as an individual who is NOT a politician, but rather a hard worker who despite the politics, gets down to brass tacks.
If you are going to write an article about the candidates running for District 27 State Representative before the Aug 24th primary so voters can learn more, then Jim Nintzel, do your homework more completely! As a highly qualified high school government teacher I give you an INCOMPLETE as a grade Please rectify this by the time your next article comes out!
