Re: “Here Today, Gone Tamale?

This widening is the oldest news in town. I never understood it, buf it's not like it comes as any shock.

I hope Hulquist doesn't spend a lot of money on attorneys and motions because the best he'll get is going to be what the judge decides. The most profitable route is directly to court.

Oh and please either close El Torero or bring ig back to the Tucson landmark if used to be. Even El T nostalgists won't go there anymore. But many, like me, both used to frequent the place and hold it up as a hallmark of Tucson's reason for being. Maybe you could take your famous tamales to your formerly famous restaurant, and solve two problems.

Re: “Sinister Scheduling

Unfortunately both forms were classified by people with no subject matter knowledge. The result is that it will remain too costly and too difficult to procure both forms. The Schedule 2 classification is well deserved for their feckless investment in in anti-marijuana propoganda. Let's hope their choices cost them many billions in lost revenue versus the OTC status the product actually deserves.

Re: “I Infantilize High School Students and Have Little Faith in the Intelligence of High School Teachers? Who Knew? (Certainly Not Me)

You were certainly attacked, but it was opportunistic rather than personal. McKenna's paragraph (that you excerpted) was polemical, notas he claimedobservational. It was a deliberate and deliberately contrived attempt to plant the notion that opposing his agenda was disrespectful to his targets.

It is a common dirty-politics technique, attempted regularly by other right wing pundits and tent preachers to push and promote entirely made-up things, simply for profit. And while it sometimes works, the technique itself is rooted in a disrespect of the listener's ability to see through it.

It doesn't really seem to be working this time.

Re: “Guest Opinion

The writer pretty well rebuts his own claims by his inability to conceal his polemical disdain for counter-libertarian ideas.

And while it is possible that he is not aware of the close ties between the Kendricks and the Kochs, it is not a well kept secret that Randy Kendrick is a central player in the Koch Donor Network. She is also the person that bankrolled APS to disadvantage solar power against dirty technologies, a favorite issue for the Kochs.

A simple Google search of "Koch" and "university" reveals lots of reporting on this topic.

Re: “The Skinny

"Let's pass this fuckin' thing!" McSally blaming Trump is like Roy Cohn blaming Joe McCarthy.

Re: “Poutine Parking Problem

Things are working fine. US Fries tried to change the equation and got severly spanked by the customers on 4th. One misfire and the war is over. It won't happen again.
