Jim Turner: El Grito de Dolores and Mexican Independence

In honor of Mexican Independence Day, historian Jim Turner discusses the "Cry of Independence" uttered by Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in the small town of Dolores on Sept. 16, 1810, at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15; $7.50, $4.50 youth ages 7 through 13, free for younger children. Turner also signs copies of his books Arizona: A Pictorial History and Native Roads: A Complete Motoring Guide to the Navajo and Hopi Nations.
