Jewish Identity and the Kaleidoscope of Generations

Jonathan Boyarin, the Leonard and Tobee Kaplan distinguished professor at the University of North Carolina, presents the following lectures from Thursday, Jan. 28, through Saturday, Jan. 30: "Trickster's Children: Paul Radin, Stanley Diamond and Filiation in Anthropology" takes place at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, at the UA Hillel Foundation (1245 E. Second St.). "Jewishness and the Kaleidoscope of Generations" takes place at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, at Temple Emanu-El (225 N. Country Club Road). "Hasidic Modernity: Radical Introspection in Early 19th-Century Poland" takes place at noon, Saturday, Jan. 30, at Temple Emanu-El. Free. Call 327-4501 for more information.
