Re: “Who's The Liar?, Con't

In any group there will always be "asses and hypocrites", as well as liars and those who tell half truths. Anyone with a functioning brain realizes that there are tens of millions of illegal aliens in the U.S. and their health care is already being paid by tax payers. Here in southeastern Arizona where once we had six or eight trauma centers, now we have one. The number one reason cited for this is the “free” health care burden placed on the system by illegal aliens. It is the same for every state where there are large numbers of illegal aliens. Likewise anyone capable of rational thought knows that healthcare must be reformed, the escalating costs cannot be sustained. Barack Obama and the liberals in Congress who are pushing this current so called health care reform bill. As well as many of those who oppose it, are not interested in anything more than then their own personal power. Those in Congress who say the current bill proposal would not cover illegal aliens while blocking any attempt to put that into the bill are the same politicians in favor of granting legal resident status to illegal aliens. So is the statement “illegal aliens are not covered in this bill” a lie or not. If either side were interested in reform they could first pass a bill that both sides have admitted would save us money and the majority of Americans would support. These would include tort reform, opening the market place so insurance companies would be forced to compete, computerizing health records and illegal immigration enforcement. Then real debate may be able to arrive at rational, compassionate and affordable options for healthcare for all Americans. It is high time we stopped worrying about who is right and started doing what is right.
