In Our Own Voice: African-American FilmMakers Oscar Micheaux, Spike Lee and Noland Walker

A screening of Oscar Micheaux's Body and Soul from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in Holsclaw Hall at the UA School of Music (1017 N. Olive Road), will be followed by a question-and-answer period with film scholars Pearl Bowser and John Howard. A screening of Do the Right Thing from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, in the UA Gallagher Theatre (1303 E. University Blvd.), will be followed by a question-and-answer period with John Howard. Howard will sign copies of Faces in the Mirror: Oscar Micheaux and Spike Lee at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, at the UA Gallagher Theatre. Filmmaker Noland Walker will speak and show clips from his work from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, in Room 202 of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Building Auditorium (1130 N.
