How to Be a SafeZONE for LGBTQ People
The UA Department of LGBTQ Affairs offers workshops about how to provide a SafeZONE on campus, a place where LGBTQ people can feel safe and comfortable. Training is in two parts: a general education workshop that covers definitions, myths and misunderstandings; and an ally-development workshop that provides information to help participants support and nurture members of the LGBTQ community. Workshops are offered in the Saguaro Room on Thursday, Feb. 23 and March 1, and Friday, March 30. Advance registration is required.
