"Mandatory" tie-wearing may not be appropriate. But, as a male teacher who just retired I wore a tie every day that I taught. In my view if I expected my students to have respect for education it was imperative that I lead with respect of my own: in word, action, demeanor and appearance.
So, who are you going to shoot with that gun in your belt. Do you have a protocol outlining when to show, draw and fire your gun? Police officers are highly trained and disciplined in the use of firearms and still occasionally fire in error. Your Glock was designed, built and is intended for one purpose..to shoot someone. So..I hope you don't shoot me or mine because your angry, drunk, just nuts, or while showing off to your friends.
