Re: “Burned Out

...and then the cartels will get all the business, thousands will lose their jobs at dispensaries and 30 states will lose their canna-tax revenues. BTW---Colorado generated $10 million last year. Gee, Jeff, that's a really great idea.

Re: “Updated: Looking for a New Pet? Forgo the Puppy Mills at 'Adopt, Don't Shop'

That pure bred puppy in the pet store window might be cute, but its parents are still back in Missouri sentenced for life in a wire cage to breed until they are no longer useful....then killed. SB1248, passed by AZ legislators last session, mandates that pet store puppies (puppy mill puppies) can continue to be legally be sold in AZ. This law was passed to protect the financial interests of one family, the owner of the largest chain of pet stores in AZ that sell puppies. And they're all sourced from puppy mills. Obviously that doesn't matter when there is a heavily pro business majority in state Leg.

Re: “Move Over, Magic School Bus—The Physics Bus is Here

That bus definitely needs a paint job. Just follow the same scheme used on "Further". If you don't know about Further --- you wouldn't understand :)

Re: “Guest Commentary

Tucson Water supplies that big tank on La Canada near LaCima school (out of the city limits) to fill multiple huge tanker trucks which---on every day of the work week--- dump 1,000s of cubic feet of clean drinking water out onto the road widening project. This has been going on for years. They say it's for soil compaction and dust control. Fine---then use reclaimed water. This one project wipes out all the "water saving initiatives" that City of Tucson feably tries to implement. And this is just one of the several construction projects that currently wastes Tucson's dwindling supply of drinking water on massive scale. Call for an audit Mr. Mayor...of just this project alone (which is outside of Tucson)....and you'll see measurably where at least one of the waste holes is. Plug the holes in the system before attempting token conservation.

Re: “Demolition Dilemma

Don't widen Broadway...don't build anymore shopping centers or subdivisions. Close the city gates....there is no water even for those of of us here already. And while you're getting back to the sensibility which we have abandoned because no one is watching the State Legislators....close all those parasitic charter schools.
