Re: “Eviction Highlighted in Series of Library Events

I realized a long time ago that the US is a dog eat dog country where it is every person for himself. No other industrialized country on the planet has the poverty, ignorance, lack of medical care, of lack of caring in general. The US is a country more obsessed with guns than caring about their neighbor. The wealthiest country in the history of the world. yet cant afford to educate its young, care for its elderly, or make health care, housing and food rights that everyone deserves.

I am not complaining for myself as I have always done fine. I leaned at a very young age how to become self employed and have been making a living that way for over 60 years. I still enjoy my work and make enough to enjoy live. I just have a sadness in my heart for millions who have not been able to make it and are simply pushed aside by a government obsessed with making sure the wealthiest stay that way and actually get wealthier on the backs of the common worker. America should be ashamed to call itself the land of the free, the great experiment, the exceptional nation, etc. Even Cuba, as poor as it is, offers one of the best health care programs in the world.

Re: “Claytoon of the Day: The Ralph Club

The left claims democracy yet goes berserk when the people vote conservative. The US does the same to other countries; democracy is only supported when the people vote the way the US government want.

Re: “Claytoon of the Day: The More Things Change

Why are people supposed to believe an anti Trump, anti conservative, liberal who tells an uncorroborated story that happened 35 years ago when they were teens in high school. This is simply a liberal stunt to keep a highly qualified conservative off the highest court in the land.

Re: “Claytoon of the Day: Enemy of the People

Trump is despised because he is not one of the Washington insiders. There is very little difference between the Republicans and Democrats; they both work for the military industrial complex, the CIA and the deep state. Vast fortunes have been made on war, but the war on terrorism was an ingenious idea that would give the deep state a never ending war with no real enemy to dispose of and no end game, just continual profits. Trump is viewed as a threat to their game.

Re: “Claytoon of the Day: Democratic Socialism

Only a wealthy capitalist or a poor idiot would make such a statement. The wealthy vote for themselves, naturally; and the poor, especially religious poor, vote for the rich too. The best, happiest, least in debt, and highest paid working class people live in socialist countries like Norway,.Denmark, the Netherlands, etc. That is a fact which conservatives hate.

Re: “Claytoon of the Day: American Beaches

This is so insane. The first president in 65 years to make a deal with North Korea eliminating their nuclear arsenal and the left does nothing but criticize it. If Obama had made the exact same deal the left would be praising him as the greatest president ever. The right did the same thing with the Obama Iran deal. This kind of partisanship is extremely dangerous in the nuclear world we live in. Neither side cares about the good of the country or the world, only their party and ideology.
