As far as kids’ films go, you could do a lot better—but you could also do a lot worse. Talking guinea pigs and a mole constitute an elite task force trying to take down a suspicious electronics producer (Bill Nighy) who seems bent on global domination. The task force has been put together by Zach Galifianakis, which gives us a chance to see his beard in glorious 3-D at select theaters. The humans are normal, but the guinea pigs are animated, voiced by the likes of Sam Rockwell, Tracy Morgan and a heavily disguised Nicolas Cage (as the mole). The movie looks good and is relatively harmless, but it’s definitely something for kids. A stellar comedic cast is given little to do, as the guinea pigs steal the show.
