    Re: “Moving Pictures
In regards to the Film artical: I have been working in the film industry for 25 years and almost all of it here in Arizona. I have seen ideas come and go for tax asseistance to this industry. It does work. The only program that could make it easy on everyone will be a pay and play asentive. Bring your money and get a tax rebait. Simple and lowcoast to the state on overhead and operations coast.
We lost a $300 million dollar, three year project. "THE LONE RANGER" staring Johny Depp was going to build and shoot in AZ. That loss coast this state and community over 125 jobs and millons in community related tax revinue . After long scouting trips in the state the director had alot of locations chossen all over this state. However Production ordered that all the locations be found in New Mexico or Utah. That is just only one production that was eyeing Arizona for film work before the tax bill was stepted on by Russel Peirce.
Further more it is easy to asume that our top technicians are going to New Mexico how ever truth and knowledge is different. The magority of all the crew I trained and or worked with threw the years are in Louisiana working rite now.
What the new era right wing Tea baggers in Phoenix have done to the state is now happening to our country. We can chage this or turn or backs. Eric and others have joined the fray a little late. We needed there actions last year. Now the fight will be harder in the state house and thoughts of use who have been working on tax assentives for 6 years are beat up and tired. The calvery never came . However the fire and pride in our hearts towards a industry that we so dearly love is not dead. Once we catch our breaths and rangel up people like Eric, we will persue this action again. We need the publics help.
