Every year, local and visiting artists gather for the Flame Off, a live flame-working competition founded by local glass blower Tom Philabaum. The nonprofit event benefiting the Sonoran Glass School will feature two eight competitor sessions, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 at the SGS campus (633 W. 18th St.). Tickets are $20. They can be purchased at the door or at sonoranglass.org/flameofftickets. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
