Family Day at the Poetry Center
Student-written corridos are performed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 28, at the Poetry Center's Corrido Contest awards ceremony. From 1 to 3 p.m., the Second Annual Tucson Youth Poetry Slam Championship is decided by audience participation. The event also features a performance by a nationally recognized poet. The performances are preceded by Poetry Joeys children's writing workshops from 10 to 11 a.m. Visit poetry.arizona.edu for more information.
