Don Swann presents "The Life and Times of the Saguaro" at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Visitor Center Auditorium. Reservations are recommended. Join Vicki Powers and Ralph Terry for a walk in search of desert birds at 8 a.m., Friday, Dec. 4. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Reservations are recommended. Explore the desert at night on a walk at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4. Reservations are required. Explore Cactus Forest Drive with a park ranger while becoming familiar with some of the area's common cacti at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 5. Join Park Ranger Arlo Ogden in the Visitor Center Auditorium for a presentation titled "People and Places of Saguaro's Past" at 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 6. Join Chris McDonald for the presentation "Buffelgrass, Intense Fire and the Sonoran Desert" at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9. Events are free with park admission: $10 per vehicle; or $5 for bicyclists or pedestrians. Call for more information.
