apparently I misunderstood the nature of this weekly magazine. i thought it was more of a, well, tucson weekly magazine concerning events and issues around the city. but it also has a lot of poorly written conservative-leaning political and social articles. if i want to read opinionated political articles, i'll at least go find some that are well-written. lost a reader.

While if I were in charge of the college I may not think it a wonderful idea to have someone with this sort of criminal record be the head of the student association, I agree very much with the comment before me: can't find the part where anyone says it's perfectly okay to be a sex offender. Casanova has misrepresented the event here. Just because someone did something wrong in the past doesn't mean giving them opportunities to change is equivalent to justifying their criminal behavior. I don't know how we ought to rehabilitate sex offenders, but permanent exile is probably not the best way.

I will soon be working directly with arizona inmates in a healthcare capacity. I don't know much about the system yet, and I'm sure I will like some things and dislike other things. All I know is that a person is a person. It doesn't matter who you are, I'm going to do my best to ensure that you receive the highest quality of care i can provide. No one but me is responsible for the quality of care I give as an individual, and I for one will be doing my part to improve the quality of the system.
