Re: “Too Little, Too Late?

I am a once and future activist against the personnel practices of TUSD.
I am perplexed by the accusations leveled at Dr. Clash concerning disciplinary practices relative to African American students at Tucson High.
I am an advocate of equal treatment in the discipline of all students when they have done wrong.

If you look at the records regarding discipline for the last 5 years I'm sure that you will find African American students receiving harsher discipline than other groups. This includes suspensions and expulsions.

TUSD has fewer African American Principals than they had 20 years ago. Now, certain racist staff are attempting to reduce that number.

Here's a fact that most people may not be aware of: When an African American is appointed to a position of authority they know (we know) that they are always under the microscope and someone is plotting to get their job or plotting their overthrow.

Dr Clash is no fool. You don't earn a PhD behind your name by being stupid.

In conclusion, TUSD was a much better district when Congressman Grijalva and Tom Castillo were on the Governing Board.
