I wrote about this in Cinema Showdown, but I'm really excited for the David Bowie documentary coming to the Loft this week. I'm a sucker for anything about the musician, but I think what impresses me most about his four-plus decades in the spotlight is his constant reinvention and meticulous attention to the visual aspect of rock and roll.
Now, of course, we don't have millions of record label dollars and the world's top designers to collaborate with, but I'm glad I'm able to announce another bit of visual reinvention here at the Weekly: our redesigned website. We're still working out some of the kinks (that's how it goes with these things ... how did that end up there?), but it's a far cleaner and better organized presentation of what we do here at the Weekly, both the digital version of the print edition, but also the stuff we're putting on the Range Monday through Friday (and sometimes on the weekends). Hopefully, you see more evolution more often with our digital products in the future as we have more stuff planned on that front in the forthcoming months. In the meantime, if you notice any issues, please let me know ([email protected]) and we'll try to address them.
Thanks to Carla Clark and the fine people at DesertNet for their continued hard work on our website. We couldn't ask for better partners on that front.
