Dust Devil

Florence, Arizona on a February Morning-

dust_devil.jpg

Grey pigeons fly low over the razor wire,

drop behind the metal fence and dash through the gravel

towards a water filled pothole where they bathe in the sunlight.

Men in bright orange jumpsuits and matching winter hats look on and dot the yard like pins on a map.
