The Election

If we as a nation elect a man who would be king, we can expect a few changes.

Citizens become 'subjects' working for the betterment of the throne. There can only be one idea, one viewpoint, one culture, one belief that matters—the king's. He will never be wrong, blame will be externalized regardless of fault. Financial policies will be molded to increase the wealth of the super rich. Religious and ethnic wars will be fought in a display of power. Might makes right. Walls will be built on the backs of taxpayers, sparing no expense. Journalists will be chastised for reporting unwelcome truths. Protests will not be allowed. Disagree—go to jail. Don't like it—get out. It is an attitude of privilege, of entitlement. Buyer beware!
