Re: “Mysteries in the Mountains

I hope the author reads this comment because I too have experienced the same. I was a youngster at the time probably only nine years old (around 1963). My father and I were visiting my Grandmother in Hesperia, California. We had gotten new BB-guns and walked out into the desert in early afternoon for some target shooting. When all of a sudden a door appeared with cascading greenish crystal lights falling downwards. The apparition was the same shape as a regular door but set about 2 feet up off the sand. The only thing that defined its shape were these tiny chrystaline lights, kinda like you'd see coming from a sparkler and cascading downward all within this rectangular door. There are no rock formations just flat sandy area with tumbleweeds. I look at my Dad and asked him what's that Dad? He didn't know and we never talked about and never discussed it with anyone until now. I only found your article because I googled "Doorway of Cascading Lights". Yes it was something to behold. I only wonder what would have happened if we had gone through it.
