Well thought out and well stated endorsement. Ron Barber is an exceptionally good person to fill the remainder if Gabby's term, Jesse Kelly is an exceptionally wrong person to represent us in Congress. Let him go back to Texas and work for papa, his brand of crazy sells much better there.
The interesting thing about the GOP special election CD8 primary is that many of the supporters of each of the 4 candidates will be passionate about their candidate. Will the supporters of the other 3 candidates rally behind the winner of the primary and vote for him or her in the special CD general election over Barber? That election is only for the remaining 6 months of Gabby's term, and would give that candidate the leg up in the primary for CD2 just 2 months away in August over their preferred candidate. Or would they be more likely to not vote in the CD8 general election or vote Libertarian or even for Barber, in hopes their preferred candidate can come from behind and win the CD2 primary and the chance to win a full 2 year term?
