An American couple (Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Vinessa Shaw) vacationing in Mexico find a secluded place to spend a couple of days. Thing is, the place is a little too quiet. That’s because most of the adults are dead due to children inexplicably murdering them. Writer-director Makinov provides loads of creepiness in this low-budget horror film, sustaining a sense of dread for much of its running time. I like horror films where bad things happen without explanation. This is one of those films, and these kids will give you nightmares. Thanks to the eerie music and the general look of the film, I was reminded of Dario Argento while watching it. Horror fans, this a pretty good one. Non-horror fans … you will find nothing of worth in this movie and it will probably give you a stomachache.
