Together in Art: Quintanilla and Janes

Saturday, Sept. 6 is going to be a busy night for the Quintanilla-Janes artist household and everyone who loves their work.If there's a local couple in Tucson who seem to live and breathe art, as well as perfectly support each other's work, it's Martin Quintanilla and Marcy Miranda Janes. They'll show their work together in "Black + White + Red All Over," a show with new linoprints by Quintanilla and cut paper work by Janes opening at the Haunted Hands Gallery, 439 N. Sixth Ave., Suite 195, starting Sept. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. The show description: "Intended to answer the age-old question. Or maybe just confuse the matter further." There's more amazing art this Saturday evening. Jeff Litvak's (one of the co-founders of Raices Taller 222 Art Gallery and Workshop) show "In the Distance," opens at the Contreras Gallery and Jewelry, 110 E. 6th St. This show is a series of oil paintings, along with an acrylic series of Tarot Card paintings.
