Thanks to the Catalina Chamber Orchestra, you can relax and listen to an evening of great music for way less than you would pay for the latest waste of film from Hollywood.
The opener for the orchestra's 2001-2002 concert season--its tenth, by the way--includes performances of Vosk's Viva Vivaldi and Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915.
The concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Modern Languages Auditorium on the University of Arizona campus. Tickets cost $5 adults, $3 students. For more information, call 293-7664.

Glide through the night in Sabino Canyon, free from flash and artificial light, while enjoying the friendly company of kindred spirits. Reconnect with nature by disconnecting from any extraneous electronic devices and experience genuine light, sound and the presence of the darkened Catalina Cathedral.
Wear comfortable shoes for the 7.5-mile round trip with a 600-foot elevation change. Sponsored by the Sierra Club, the hikes are free.

The Marana High School Players are presenting the Shakespeare tragedy beginning Tuesday. See the story of star-crossed lovers as told by young actors who bring fresh enthusiasm to the stage.
Performances are at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

GOING TO THE DOGS. Neglected dogs will have their days Friday and Saturday as Bookman's takes thousands of new and used items to the streets.
The sidewalk bazaar will include videotapes, audio cassettes, CDs, software, children's stuff and, of course, books, and most items will be priced at under $3.
The event benefits the Southern Arizona Humane Society's educational and anti-cruelty programs.
