On Saturday, Jan. 16, Valley of the Moon celebrates its recent historic landmark designation. Funky, magical and healing, this special spot has been open to the public since the 1920s because of George Phar Legler. The party is from 3:30 to 7 p.m. (2544 E Allen Road). There will be guest speakers, storytellers, musicians, and light snacks. Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Council Member Karin Uhlich and Demion Clinco, CEO of the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation will attend. RSVP is required. For more info and to RSVP, go to www.tucsonvalleyofthemoon.com.
