I am saddened by the passing of Colonel Bill Badger. He was a great officer, aviator and friend. Bill took hold of and completed any difficult project given to him. He created, from scratch, the Eastern and Western ARNG Aviation Training Sites. These organizations had profound positive impacts on the readiness of Army National Guard Aviation units and individuals. Along the way he mentored many, who in turn were inspired by his dedication to duty, honor and country as well to family and friends. His enjoyed what he did and his enjoyment was infectious to all who served with him. I am proud to have served with him and learned a great deal from him. I used his “three deep” concept to help improve organizations that I had the privilege of leading. He is missed by all who had the privilege of serving with him and by all who had the fun being his friend.
I know there are many others who served in PA ARNG Aviation who had many positive experiences with Bill Badger. His legacy continues today!
