Calling All Gnomes, Calling All Gnomes

Third Annual Gnome Fest

Metro Gnome and Cycle to Go is going all gnome for its third annual Gnome Fest—all things music and gnome—on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4044 E. Speedway Blvd. with a Guinness Book of World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people dressed as garden gnomes, beating the current record of 468. For the love of gnome, Tucson, let's make this happen. There will be bands: Amosphere, Copper & Congress, Lollapaloozers and Sorry About the Garden. There will be a Twinkie-eating contest and other activities. Gnome hats will be sold, $5 with every $2 going to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. There's food, there's more, but don't forget to get your gnome costume together. For more on the event and the gathering of gnomes, visit www.metrognomemusic.com.
