The launch celebration of local photographer, social worker and well-loved Tucson do-gooder Kathleen Dreier's first photography book, "Bus Stop Dreams," is Thursday, Dec. 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Borderland Brewing Company, 119 E. Toole Ave. Dreier will be signing hard and soft cover versions of her book, a photography project she started last year, approaching people at Tucson bus stops asking where they were going and their hopes for the future. "Using public transit as a metaphor, it is a project that I hope connects all of us to our common humanity of wanting to be something more than what our present circumstance allows for whatever reason," Dreier explained. To pre-order additional books, Dreier is doing a Go Fund Me campaign to raise $4,000 for 100 additional books. You can participate at www.gofundme.com/BusStopDreamsBook.
