Black Women's Task Force

Retired UA faculty member Alison Hughes leads discussion of the practical "ins and outs" of the Affordable Care Act, including details about where to go in Pima County to enroll in the new health insurance options, at a conference covering a wide range of contemporary topics from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1; $75. Tucson Urban League's new president and CEO Debora Embry is the luncheon speaker. Topics like use of social media, brain care, negotiation skills, and career development are covered by such speakers as Amy Tees, Jessica Randolph, Clarence Boykins, Lucinda Hughes-Juan, Martha McSally, Yevette Sykes and Mattie Lewing. Ronnie Grates of Canyon Ranch discusses exercize routines; Wanda Moore teaches chest compression CPR, and the Tucson Slide Society teaches line dancing.
