Re: “The Skinny

I live in the County, and so the widening project does not affect me directly. BUT... I think the money could be better spent repairing the City's STREETS, rather than adding many miles of NEW street that will also not be maintained.

The last time I traversed Broadway over the route to be expanded at 'rush hour', traffic moved smoothly, impeded only by traffic signals, which could be better sequenced. But it was NOT slowed to a stop because there was no place to go.

This whole project should be re-thought, and postponed until needed.

Re: “Media Watch

The 'Death Of Radio' has been wrongly reported for at least the 55 years I've been in it. It's still here, and will be for some time. All of your satellite and 'On Line' services cannot supply LOCAL NEWS, road conditions, and on and on. They will not (cannot) carry the local high scjhool basketball games. Or a dirtinctly LOCAL talk show. (Buckmaster, on KVOI, for example.)

Radio is not dying, but it IS being hurt by National Corporate ownership. A New York based corporation pays no attention to your local station, but insists that it show a profit, while carrying the 'network' approved shows. That's not always easy.

Re: “Media Watch

And there are people who insist that AM radio is dead. Well, the competition here for a useable time and day HERE is pretty stiff! I suspect that the "AM IS DEADers" are from big cities where they can't get a slot, and so want to condemn the whole thing. Even MUSIC is not bad on AM if you have a really good radio to listen with!

Re: “Grant Road Rage, Redux

Eventually the city will need to buy the house. (Or do they plan on siezing it under 'Eminant Domain?') Why don't they buy it NOW and raze it, as planned. One more item they will not have to deal with down the road. IMHO, Grant does not need widening, anyhow. Sync up the traffic signals so you don't have to stop for all of them, and fix the potholes, and Grant will work just fine. Might need to reverse the synced lights for travel in the opposite direction in the evening.

Re: “Open Letter to Governor Doug Ducey Regarding Civics Testing

This is at least PART of the point. I'm not sure I know what 'Dark Money' is. But I'm pretty sure it's NOT GOOD for the rest of us! Lobbyists are NOT SUPPOSED to CREATE LAW. And the 'monied elite' are not supposed to be able to get 'their stooge' elected.

If we have enough people in the Hallowed Halls who KNOW the limitations placed on government, they just MIGHT go along with them. And if THE PEOPLE OUT HERE ALSO KNOW, there is a possibility we could recover our Country from the illegals, the Islamists, and the corrupt politicians. We MUST teach the Constitution. And NOT the one with the little 'footnotes' about things like 'direct taxation is oermitted now throughthe 16th amendment', and the 17th having fixed some non-existent 'flaw', and how LOTS of stuff under the 14th changes everything.

I want my Coutnry back, and this is a place to start!

Re: “It's Official: AZ Can't Block DREAMers from Getting Driver's Licenses

IDEA!!! If the Federal 'Authorities' are so gung ho that the illegal people (they ARE here illegally) must have 'driver' licenses, THEY SHOULD ISSUE THEM! That way, at least the LOCAL police woould know what they are dealing with when the do a traffic stop.

If they find that they illegals are responsible for more than their share of damage, they COULD be banned from our roads!

Re: “Media Watch

Give them something to listen TOO, and they will and do!
