In another life, Madaras owned a marketing company in Tucson, but when a trip to Greece spent painting changed her life, she returned to Tucson, sold the company and never looked back. As president of the Art for Animals Foundation, she has won awards for both her philanthropy and her artwork. She works with acrylic and watercolor alike to create her vibrant paintings, often of desert scenes from Tucson itself.
