Lovin' Spoonfuls

Lovin' Spoonfuls owner Peggy Raisglid should be nominated for sainthood. Where profit is the only motivator for some business owners, she sets herself apart by bringing ethics to the forefront. The food she proudly serves is cruelty-free, meaning that no animal products are used. Despite what some might think, taste is in no way sacrificed. You'll find mock meat that rivals the real thing in many dishes, such as in the savory old country lasagna, or the country fried "chicken" platter. The various tofu scrambles are a hit for weekend brunch, and the impressive dessert case reinforces the notion that dairy is not necessary for something to qualify as delicious.
