Jesse Kelly had already left Tucson for Texas (and he would have sold his house, too, if it hadn't been underwater) when Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords stepped down last year, forcing a special election to finish her term. Kelly suddenly rediscovered his love of Southern Arizona and raced back to Pima County, where he swore up and down that this was the place he wanted to raise his family. But after Democrat Ron Barber kicked his butt, Kelly wasted little time in finding a job in D.C. that took him away from Tucson for what we certainly hope is the final time. (Postscript: Kelly ended up hating his D.C. job and has since moved to Texas, where he now blogs as a self proclaimed "failed politician" and "right-wing nutjob.")
